REGIONAL CONSULTATION EVENTS

Your Sport Your Say

Lets get the balance right!

From 1 st September– 31 st October English Gymnastics will be carrying out a review of the sport on a scale that has never been attempted before. English Gymnastics will invite all clubs, volunteers, coaches, committees, parents and gymnasts to get involved in a series of events that will determine the future of gymnastics development: Your Sport Your Say.

English Gymnastics recognise that it's the hard work, time and expertise of our members that make the sport great and will be hosting 11 identical regional events where members will be invited to help drive the work of English Gymnastics over the next 4 years. What should the priorities be? Where should English Gymnastics' time and money be focussed? How can we improve the sport for everyone? Lets Get the Balance Right!

Events will be co-ordinated locally to ensure that every club has a chance to contribute. English Gymnastics celebrate the fact that each gymnastic region is unique and throughout the events will investigate Club, County and Regional needs to ensure that local issues are at the forefront of the work of Regional and County development over the next 4 years. Each region's priorities will then be fed upward culminating in an English Gymnastics Plan 2009-2013 that genuinely reflects the ambitions and aspirations of our members.

The dates and invitations for regional events will be posted on the English Gymnastics Website, regional websites, GymNews magazine, The Gymnast magazine, Regional newsletters, via the Royal mail to club secretaries and via e-mail to clubs with registered addresses.

English Gymnastics will organise and run the events on behalf of the regions.

Trampolining-Online.co.uk would request that somone from each region would add their regional meetings in to our events section so that more people may represent trampolining. It is important that trampolining is well represented so that we might gain something useful for the sport from this event.
